I’m Richard — the head, heart, and tail behind Fox & Thistle Studio — a tangle of curiosity, creativity, and compulsion. I design graphics, upcycle discarded objects, collect vintage oddities, and write as an attempt to tie it all together. My work is rooted in a deep love for history, language, and the strange ways people leave traces behind. I often find myself somewhere between inspiration and absence, and my creativity plays out a bit like a game of hide and seek. Some of the ideas I cherish most (to myself, anyway) surface in quiet, unfocused moments. Writing, for me, is a way to pursue those moments in motion — chasing my tail, so to speak. Fox & Thistle Studio is where my love for creativity, sustainability, and whimsy all converge. It’s rooted in the belief that simplicity speaks volumes — that the most resonant work often comes from the quietest corners. I find joy in the paradoxes, the unexpected pairings, and the playful tension between seeking and finding.
